Psychotherapy

Contemporary psychotherapeutic practice emerges from the integration of cognitive neuroscience, attachment theory, and psychodynamic understanding. My practice acknowledges the bidirectional relationship between neurobiological processes and psychological experience, while examining the role of early developmental patterns in current functioning. The approach focuses on both explicit cognitive processes and implicit emotional schemas that shape behavioural responses and interpersonal dynamics.

The use of psychological protocols allows for precise calibration to presenting symptoms and underlying mechanisms. We focus on facilitating access to both conscious narrative structures and implicit behavioural patterns. This multi-modal approach enables the examination of our psychological structures while developing enhanced regulatory capacity and metacognitive functioning.

The therapeutic process addresses both acute symptomatology and chronic patterns through systematic interventions at multiple levels of psychological functioning. An initial assessment establishes baseline functioning across cognitive, emotional, and behavioural domains, while ongoing treatment focuses on targeted interventions for specific presenting issues.

The results are the development of practical implementations for sustained biopsychosocial improvements.
